How long does a cartilage piercing pain last?
I got my cartilage pierced professionally yesterday. I got one on both ear, it's impossible to sleep on my sides and I hate sleeping on my back. How long does this pain last?

It depends on the person, I suppose. What is your pain tolerance like -- low, high, or somewhere in the middle?

I had my cartilage pierced a few years ago (and still have it in). As long as you're diligent about the cleaning and care, the pain should not last any more than a couple days. It may be a little tender to the touch for a couple weeks, but it really shouldn't hurt. Just know that it will pass and you'll have a couple snazzy gems to boot!

If it's really that painful, try to ice it. Ice will numb the area naturally without any adverse reactions.

Good luck, I hope this helps!
