Is it right for your girlfriend to snoop on you for years
My girlfriend has been snooping through my emails, texts, and even who I message through Facebook practically since the beginning of our relationship. We are coming onto 3 years but she recently found out that maybe I didn't tell her everything about my previous relationships that she says she can't trust me anymore and is breaking up with me but still wants to be friends. Is this right or should have I broken it off earlier?

You should never have put up with that behavior from the start.

I find it funny that she can't trust you because of something that happened before you met her... yet she sees nothing wrong with going through your things. Trust? LOL

Be glad she's gone and as for friends? Why bother?

Can't trust you anymore? She didn't trust you to begin with!

Did you ever ask her why she felt the need to check up on you? Was this ever discussed? Did she have any reason to not trust you? It appears that you were OK with it, or at least didn't speak up about it. I agree with odinn7... that she is upset, and breaking up with you, because of something you didn't share about a previous relationship it a bit over the top.

If she wasn't convinced that she could trust you after checking for so long, she would never trust you. Not the sort of relationship I'm sure you would want.

Count it as a lesson learned.

I think this is your best chance of disappearing from her life. Do as she says.
