A thesis statement usually requires an argument for a particular point of view you might be trying to get across. Are you looking for a generalized statement in relation to small business?


Normally you would need something rather specific in relation to small business to initiate your argument. In fact a thesis statement usuallly requires this regardless of the topic.

It is possible to have a generalized thesis statement, but I would investigate exactly what is required by your supervisor.

Small business is vital to the overall economic strength and security of this country.

This would be a example, but it may well be an over generalized example.

I would investigate further if I were you.
