Can I get my money back off a land contract after I moved in the house & finds out the house is not livable infested bugs, bad plumming, unsafety & much more

Didn't you have a home inspection done BEFORE you entered into a contract? What does the contract say specifically? I'm going to venture a guess, since you didn't provide much information... that you got this in an AS-IS condition.

No normally you can not get your money back, a land contract is a contract to buy a property.
Normally it is done to people who can not get a loan because of many reasons. ( but others do it at times)

Before you buy the home, you have it inspected by a home inspector ( normally 200 to 500 dollars) you may also want to get a termite inspection before you buy.

As for as the bugs they are yours now, and you hire a company to come in and get rid of them.

If you walk away normally you lose all the money you paid up front. But you need to read the contract to see exactly what it says.

I don't care about losing the money the point is this man lied about everything he said cause he thought I was young & dum it should be a againt "bedbugs" law cause I asked him everything specially just like the holes in the bottom of the house! Nevr said anything about a as is... Jus dum is...

I haven't been here 30 days & my daughter getting ate up house gutters falling & he calling around harassing my insurance person to make sure I had the amount he wanted me to put down on the insurance for the house but he lied on his part this is crazy

Not to mention he paid 8000 for the house & tryna land contract for 25000 & the house falling apart we smell seward through the ventswhen we flush the toilet... Need I go further?

Did you SEE the house before you entered into the contract? It's a "buyer beware" thinking. If you paid more than you should have, that is NOT his fault.

And, yes, if your contract requires you to carry a certain dollar amount of insurance the landlord is within his rights to demand proof that that is the level that you carry.

You have entered into a Contract that is legally binding. If you want to break the Contract (and not get sued and be forced to spend a LOT of money in legal fees) you need to speak to an Attorney NOW.

As the buyer... YOU are the one responsible for any inspections to verify everything is good BEFORE entering into a contract.

Was there any guarantee in WRITING that everything was perfect? I'll bet there wasn't. And besides, only $8,000 for a house, you can expect there to be issues. You won't get a new one car garage built for that price, and you certainly aren't going to get a perfect house for that price.

Sorry to tell you, but this is all on you... these are all visible defects that you should have seen yourself... and any home inspector would have easily found.

This isn't a foundation problem where the basement floods every heavy rain that was being hidden.
