    Hello j:

If he was precluded from being around your kids, he'd be ON the sex offender registry. It would seem like that would be how the CPS would frame the issue... If your friend ISN'T on the registry, then he's DONE his sentence and has NO restrictions.

However, it doesn't really matter what I say. It matters what CPS says, and apparently they'll DO something to you if you don't listen to them, and it won't be good.

Did you ask your friend what's up?

Sure you can be unless you have court orders saying otherwise.

You are missing the point, if CPS says no, then you risk losing your kids if you let him be around them. You need to fight this BEFORE you let him be around them.

Ok, so the father is trying to make a case that you are unfit because of your boyfriend. He could win and you could lose your children. This is not a matter of specific law, but the determination of a Family court judge.

Get an attorney to show you how to convince the judge he is not a danger to the children.

That will be expensive for an attorney, won't it be, I don't want to loose him or my kids,I love my kids I want to keep them and I don't want to loose the man I'm in love with,I'm afraid it will happen,I can't be away from him until may, that is too long it won't work out us being apart, when couples split it always ends up badly

Sounds like you have to choose. Either get this settled, spend the money, spend the time apart, and keep your kids.

    Or

Don't spend the money on a attorney, keep seeing this guy, and risk losing your kids.

I guess it comes down to what's more important, this guy or your kids.

CPS can and will take your kids away from you, if you do not do what they say, They have he power to take the kids away first and make you prove you should get them back.

So since they said this guy can not be around, he can not be around, till you get this cleared with them.

Sorry but this is how it is, so boyfriend goes till he is cleared by CPS. And yes an attorney costs but then, how bad do you want to keep the kids?
