    That is the characteristic of that contactor you have.

    You may find contactors that having quicker opening and longer closing time.

    Keep in mind that opening is acting against the mechanics that are holding it closed.

    To add to above post, It is an instant Strong magnetic field to close it Vs a spring to open it.
