Why do I have to turn my light switch off and on 4 times for my lights to come on?

What switch?
What light?

I don't think anyone can help you unless you give us more info.

In my house,my ceiling fan I can not get the lights to come on unless I turn the wall switch on and off 4 times for it to come on.

Hi booney, does it always take 4 times? Sometimes less? If so could be bad switch. Good luck

This is a wall switch and not a remote, right? I'd go with failing switch.
