My daughter is almost 3 years old, I took her to a specialist cause her teeth on top were diminishing... He has already capped 3 back upper teeth and wants to cap the other 3 upper back teeth and also wants to PUll all her upper four front... Her teeth aren't hurting, and they grew out real small.. It's obvious, she has some upper disease from bacteria... But should I really pull all four front if they don't hurt?

They don't have to hurt to be diseased. It's best to pull them now so that this doesn't affect the adult teeth that will come in behind them.

If you're really unsure about if this should be done or not, and you need peace of mind, get a second opinion.

"teeth on top were diminishing" can you explain what you mean here? Something is way wrong if a 3 year old is getting teeth capped. I'd go to the yellow pages and find another pediatric dental practice.

It happens. Can be called "milk teeth" due to bottle feeding at bedtime as a baby, or could be due to other health concerns.

I think Milk teeth is just another name for baby teeth. Deciduous teeth - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia However I have heard of the decay you are talking about due to bottle feeding in bed. My best friend is a pedo, I'll have to chat him up on this topic.

My niece had all front teeth removed because of kidney disease and the steroids she was on eroded all of the enamel.

Before she was 3 months she had a real high temperature, and had to take amoxicillin. I'm thinking because at this time half her hair on her head fell off... that it may have made half her teeth weak, or all of them. Her teeth are very small for a toddlers teeth, temporary, what have you. Yes, this can happen from the bottle, but to this extreme, there must be other factors. Her whole upper teeth, the enamel fell off the front four and the back are not black, but the back of all her teeth the enamels gone, you see her actual tooth or dentin? The first half of teeth they capped, they feel worse than her other teeth did... Her dentist thinks her teeth are real weak, but her capped teeth seem to bother her more, I guess cause she's getting used to them... but next time the dentist works on her he wants not only to cap the other 3 on the other side, but pull 4 teeth... She was screaming just from these three... to pull four teeth on top of that... I have been crying for her... kids in school, will be so cruel... I want to put her on a less sugar diet, no more juice, more vegetables, this mixture of butter oil and cod liver oil... they say cavities can be stopped... but is it worth it, will it do any good, should I risk her health and permanent teeth on this long term health plan, that may or may not work? I wish there was a better choice or that dentist would use different caps rather than, silver.. All silver in the back and no front teeth... I've never even seen a child like that... I'm afraid for her, your esteem is so important starting... children are even more cruel now a days... why parents make them that way, I don't know, but she'll have to suffer it... Is there a way, I can just stop the cavities, so it does not further? So she has some teeth to chew with, her speech will be impaired too... till these front teeth come in... in about 3-5 years... will these teeth be crooked, the dentist says no, but I don't believe him...
