I had a reconstruction on my foot on January 10th and now it's been feb 28th and since I've okay and some what walking again and I have to take oxycodone when my foot hurts. And I took one Sunday night and the next day around 8:30 am I had few sips of alcohol.. And I wasn't sure if it was okay to drink since it's been 7 weeks.. But now I'm worried if I can take my medication or I need to wait.. Cause I take oxcodone when I'm in pain.. N Sunday I was so took one at 9:30 or 10:30..

Please answer it for me as soon as possible.. I'm really scared.. N I'm 16.. So can I take it still even though I had a few sips. I took my pill Sunday night and next mOrnin only had sips so should I be worried?. Please help me by resonding quickly

I'm a bit bamboozled though. Why were you drinking alcohol at 8:30 in the morning?

I was in going to class and I had a switch water bottle.. So I took a sip of it and then I didn't notice because I couldn't smel it

It isn't wise to drink any alcohol while taking oxycodone. It can cause dangerous side effects. Oxy is a fast acting agent and was at low level by the time you had the few sips. Having already done so, if you haven't experienced any problems, you probably won't.

Thanks dr.bill. I've stop taking my medication after this happen so nothing bad happens. But I was aware that nothing will happen to me since the oxy disolve over night but can be in my system bt I won't be at high high risk.. Like death or any side affects.. Because I've drank tons of water that day..
