    Honda civic 96 shutting off
I have a 96 Honda Civic that we bought used. It has 150,000 miles and today while I was riding down the road in the city going about 40 miles per hour, the car completely shut off. I pulled over into a parking space (that goodness the steering and brakes still worked) and put the car in park, turned the ignition off and turned the car back on. Car started fine on the first time turning it over. It scares me that it can just turn off. I travel the highway at 70mph everyday. What could cause this?

    TxGreaseMonkey
Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil, located inside the distributor. Be sure to apply silicone heat transfer grease to the back of the new ICM.
