    Hi Pigdog

What pressure did you pump your bladder tank up to? It should be pumped up to 2 LBS less than your pump cut on (usually set to 38LBs).

I'm no pump/well expert, so click on this link for more info. OK?

Pig, I'm assuming this is only happening when you are using water. If that's the case, then locate the air valve at the top of the tank. Press it for a few seconds. If water come out, then the tank is bad.

Of course, the pump kicking on after 3 minutes of water usage might be normal for a small tank. Do you know how big it is?

If the pump is cutting on/off every three minutes when you are NOT using water, then there is a leak somewhere. If you have a shutoff valve to the house, then turn that off. If the problem continues, then the leak is likely in the well. If the cycling stops, then the leak is towards, or in, the house.

If the three minutes is accurate, then that would indicate a fairly serious leak.
