I am feeling hard/thick areas around my uterus area, along with nausea, heartburn, cramping, sore breasts. My period was due on the 23rd, but instead was 4 days late (I got it today). I don't want to get too excited and just brush this pregnancy scare off because I finally got my period, but I read from a couple of different places that you can experience heavy flow bleeding that may seem like your period, but is really just excretions from your embryo latching on to your uterus wall. I am still going to take an at home test, and also go to a local clinic that offers free pregnancy testing and ultrasounds.

Wait a couple days to see if this turns to a light period only lasting a couple days.

But a period being a few days plus or minus ( early or late) is normal so just being four days late is closer to normal for many women.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if you got your period most likely you are not pregnant.

@J_9 I thought so too but the symptoms are like none that I've ever had before. I took an at home test and that was negative, but to get more accurate results I am going to take another one in the morning. And then to be even more sure (I don't 100% trust/believe at home tests) I'm going to a clinic for blood work and also an ultrasound.
