Ohh I love this movie I think its called A.I. Artificial Intelligence. I might not be right because there are a lot of movies out there but this one is about a couple whose son isvery sick, in a coma, so they create a robot son to fill in lol

You may actually mean Not Quite Human with Alan Thicke. It was a made for TV movie in 1989
