    If OP is in a muslim country, it may be six of one and half a dozen of the other.

    If not, legally it probably doesn't have any consequences. Unless it could be said to be perjury.

    In the US same as on a bible or a webster dictionary, If what you promise meets the terms of a legal contract, it is a contract regardless of any book your hand is on.

    If this is in a Muslim nation it may be enforced by all sorts of means perhaps by the church or government
