    16 years of age child's right to choose which parent to live with Indiana?
    My daughter age 16 wants to move in with me the non custodial parent.

    If she is with her other parent you need a Court ordered change in custody.

    She cannot make this decision at 16. The Court will listen to her concerns/wishes but does not have to agree with her. The decision is what is best for her.

    There is no "age" that the child can decide. Normally after 12 to 14 a court will listen to what they want, but that is not always the choice the court will do.

    So the non custodial parent needs to file a motion in family court asking for custody to be changed to them.
