Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher model #665.13129
A power interruption stopped our dishwasher mid-cycle. When we noticed it, both the normal wash and the start lights were flashing. We pushed start. The dishwasher apparently resumed its cycle. But when it was done, the normal wash light continued to blink. I tried shutting off power to it for awhile. I tried the button pushing sequences outlined below, but the normal wash light continues to blink. Any further ideas for how to fix it? Ours, too, is 18 days out of warranty.

Here is a manual that may help: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8010163/Whirlpool_Dishwasher.pdf

There is a way to reset that dishwasher. Here are the fault codes and how to fix the problem: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8010163/Kenmore%20Dishwasher%20Fault%20Codes.docx

    I hope this helps.

That manual was very interesting and enlightening. I had no idea the buttons on the dishwasher did more than just make the machine do what I wanted it to do. Somehow, with everything I tried -- the button-pushing sequences, turning off the power to it for a time, pushing the button that was flashing -- I have no idea what actually 'worked'. It seems to have fixed itself. This morning (a day later, after the incident)no lights are flashing. I haven't tried to run the dishwasher yet. I hope it just works and that I don't need to research this problem any further. Thanks drtom4444.
