    Adding a GFI
    Hi

I am Adding a Fan/light in my shower stall where there was already a light. I do not think that circuit is GFI protected. What is the best way to Protect this circuit with GFI?

If there was already a light there, was this suppose to be GFI already?

Thanks so much for any help.

Depends on where the feed to the switch is. May be easier to just install a breaker. Or if there is room at the switch(es), then install a dead front GFI device.

The light should had been GFI protected if the manufacturer recommended GFI protection if installed in a shower. I am sure the new fan/light states that their product needs GFI protection if installed in a shower.
