    Hi Sandra

Most likely a cross connection has occurred here... ;)

This could be due to some new work that was done recently or it could be a single lever faucet/valve that has malfunctioned and is allowing hot water to pass over to the cold water.

If you are handy we can try to talk you through some basic tests to try, otherwise, bring a plumber in... should find the cross connection pretty quickly!

It's not that simple or easy. Mark was referring to any single handle faucet in your home, If there's a problem with one of the cartridges diverting hot water into the cold water pipes you will have to turn the water off to each single handle faucet in the house and check each one until you find the culprit. Otherwise, as Mark suggested, call in a plumber and let him hassle it. Good luck, Tom
