    Cpvc for pool heating
Would cpvc be good for pool heating. I am thinking about using 1.5 inch pipe, paint black. But to put this on top of a patio covering so I can also have shading under the patio and water heating above. Will this work?

    HI Jerry

CPVC is expensive, but should do the job here... ;)

Before proceeding, however, check with your local plumbing supply store as they make a newer UV reisistant PVC pipe that may work well here... cheaper, too, for sure!

Pools heated by sun are nothing new but you will need a heck of a lot of piping and lots of sun to maintain any real heat. I bought a kit that had large sheets of plastic with tubing built in, put it on top of my screened room. The pump had a real struggle lifting the water and extra 12' up to the roof, really slowed down my volume.
