terminating parental rights - Google Search
In general it means that the one parent will not have any rights to visit, no right to decide any activity in the child's life.
I have no idea why they do it officially they can just not go visit if they don't want to.
It has nothing to do with child support,
Apparently, it doesn't mean anything! All it means is that you can't visit or have any part in the child's life, yet the parent with the child can suck you dry of ever cent.
No it means that you just have to pay your obligation for your action of bringing a child into the world, And it means you are obligated by society though the courts to take care of your child.
"Rights" are just that, the right to see your child, the right to be a parent to the child. I can't believe any parent would want to not be in their child's life, read the posts of young people wanting to find a parent, wanting to know who their dad or mom was. How anyone can walk away from their child is beyond my understanding at all.
I sincerely WISH my dad had of signed over he's rights because even he's slightiest presents has emotionally and mentall harmed me. Sometime what is "right" to socity isn't the same as the best interest to the child, which varys from situation to situation. More people on this site need to keep that in mind.
