Can I be pregnant on the shot?
I'm on the depro provera shot, and have been on for the past eight months or so. I've been regular on getting my next shots, but I've been experiencing nausea like never before. The smell of coffee(that normally I love) makes me want to retch, and I'm really worried. The timing is right, if I am. I really don't want to be though.

First, I would take a pregnancy test. Pregnancy while on the shot is fairly rare, but it can happen,(I knew a woman when I was pregnant with my first son,who had gotten pregnnat while on the shot.) Secondly, I was on the shot for only two rounds and I was sick a lot,(was going in for my third shot, and decided that it wasn't worth it and changed birthcontrol). I kept thinking I was pregnant, because smells made me sick to my stomach, I had all the symptoms of pregnancy, BUT it was just the shot having adverse reactions to my body. It could just be that you are having reactions to the shot. I would talk with your ob/gyn about your concerns. You can get an exam done to look for the more defining signs of pregnancy ,such as an enlarged uterus and the blueish purple tinting of the vagina. You can also discuss if this is the best because option for you, etc. good luck, and best wishes.
