What product are you using that contains polyvinyl alcohol? Is it eye drops?
How are you using the product?
What type of drug test will be administered to you?

Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) is widely used as a food preservative and is not known to cross-react with ethanol (EtOH) on any urine analysis. The body processes the products differently.

    World Health Organization.

If you are exposed to PVAs used in solvents such as paint remover, adhesives etc it is wise to double check the label as these products sometimes also contain EtOH. While the PVA would not create EtG* the EtOH content, via inhalation, could.

*EtG is an ethanol metabolite that is frequently tested for in urine.
