I have a problem with my 1989 Honda Accord LXI, it is surging when it idles. I have replaced the Idle Air Control Valve and it is still doing this, please someone help me out with this problem. Thank you.

. Eliminate air from the cooling system. Fill the radiator with coolant, until it comes out the bleeder bolt.

. Remove the cover to the Fast Idle Thermo Valve and ensure the valve seat is tight.

. Check for hose vacuum leaks.

I have a similar problem with my 1987 Accord LXi and we've found the vacuum leak problem. A fitting has broken off so the vacuum line won't reattach. Someone plugged it with a stick, LOL) and now I'm trying to find out the exact NAME of the part. It's some sort of canister very near the throttle body, under the air filter housing
