    Fading dark hair dye
    I'm new to this website.
    And I'd like some help.

Today I dyed my hair "brown". On the packet it looked like a medium-dark brown color.
But once I rinsed out the dye. It turned out to be dark dark dark brown. I hate it so much.
It almost looks black sometimes. I almost want to cry :|
That might sound pretty stupid but I really don't like it.
Mum told me that in a week it will be different (as in lighter). I really really hope so.
And in two days I have school photos.

Does anyone know how I will be able to fade it to a lighter shade?

Also, sometime last year (early last year) I dyed my hair "medium brown" and it turned DARK DARK DARK brown, maybe darker than this and my fringe looked black :| and I cried...
Yeah, stupid. But it faded heaps! So much that the ends of my hair went to light-medium brown.

So I'm really hoping my hair will fade.

And mum keeps telling me how my hair was already "beautiful" before I colored it.
Now I really regret coloring it.
    :( :( :(
    And its permanent :|

So, does anyone know how I can fade it fast?

Either use a hair-dye remover, or as someone on a similar thread suggested, use a hot-oil treatment - but use it COLD; apparently it strips out the hair dye quite effectively.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if baby-oil would do the same job?

Try using Prell, clarifying shampoos or dandruff shampoos, these will gradually fade hair dye. Be sure to use a conditioner afterwards to restore moisture balance in your hair.

    Thanks.
I've been using dandruff shampoo with tar in it.
And it's already faded a really small amount.
    But it's getting there :]
