Child support for 18 year old
I am 18 years old and live with my aunt and uncle. My parents never got married and I stopped going to see my dad about 9 months ago and recently moved/kicked out of my moms house. I have been living with my aunt and uncle for almost 2 months now and people have been telling me that since I'm still going to school I can see if the child support from my dad can be sent to me instead of my mom or even some of the money sent to me. I live in Illinois and I haven't done anything yet I have just been asking around trying to get information. Any advice would be helpful thank you so much!

First, ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

But I doubt it. You can't get it paid directly to you. You MIGHT get it paid to your aunt and uncle, but since you are over 18, that is unlikely. It also depends on whether dad pays through an agency or directly.
