    Married filing jointly or individually?
My tax situation is explained below:
    Status: Married filing jointly
    Me 
Lived all year (2011) in NJ and worked in New York state. Should I file non-resident tax for New York and resident for NJ?
    Wife 
Lived 5 months in NJ and worked in NJ for 3 months.
Lived the 5 months (same period as above) in NJ and worked in CT for 2 months.
Moved to TX (and rented an apartment in TX but still has NJ driving license) and worked 7 months in TX.
How should we handle this situation?

Would you recommend filing separately instead?

    Thanks
