Can my ex get full custody of my son?
I have a two year old son and his father is in the marines. He has only came and seen my son 5 times since he's been born. He has had many opportunities to come and see him, but choose to go out and drink. We went to court to get child support papers filled out and once they were finalized he still wouldn't pay for a while. I had to call his commander to get him to pay. If he wanted to would he be able to take my son away from me? Even though I live in Kentucky and he's based in North Carolina?

You currently have court ordered custody, correct? He would have to prove you unfit to get a court to change that. His record of non involvement doesn't make it likely that he can get custody from you. Why would you worry about that?
