My furnace cycles on and then shuts off after a couple of seconds( it keeps repeating this endlessly until I shut off the power). It appears everything cylces on except the main blower(the big turbine at the bottom of the furnace. The red light blinks constantly during the whole process.

Can you move the thermostat fan switch to on and the blower works? If it works leave the fan switch in the on position and turn the heat on. If it works and keeps heating you have a bad blower control board or blower motor heat speed wire is not making good contact. You should have a code on the door telling you what the flashing lights on the control board are.

It sounds like you have a problem with the blower. The unit will run until it reaches High Temperature Limit and then shut-off. Like T-Top said try turning the thermostat to FAN-ON. If nothing happens then you either have a bad blower motor or the control board is bad.
