How long does a parent have to be out of their child's life before it can be considered abandonment. My niece has been living here with us for over 2 weeks when her mother said she was going to pick her up afte ronly 1 night with us. She won't answer our calls and turns off her phone whenever we do call. When can it be considered abandonment?
