I have a 1998 chev tahoe where is the fule filter located

Likely on the frame, just beneath the driver's door. You will need a 5/16" quick release tool to get the connector off one end. On Suburbans I've worked on, there's not enough room to get the tool around the nipple; therefore, cut it off with a small hack saw, as close to the filter as possible, and then use the tool. Depressurize the system by opening the gas cap. Be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable, prior to beginning work. Do all work outdoors, keeping a fire extinguisher handy.
