I bought a car 4 months ago and just found out that there is no title to the car. The dealer keeps giving me the run around and now I found out that he is trying to file for an abandoned title. Is this legal? I feel cheated.

If he sold a car which he did not have title to then you can report him to the police for stolen car selling. Tell him that and see if he gets his fanny in gear.

No it is not legal, they may not sell a car they do not have a title to. You may demand all of you money back. If they will not, you may sue them for the money and any costs you have
