    6 weeks pregnant ?
I think I am... I took a test and it read positive for an hour then turned negative. I have cysts so I'm unsure what effect they may have on a test. Since the test I hurt all the time... Sometimes dull then sharp stabbing pains in my right side. I am not sure on going to the hospital. What do u think?

It's odd that a test went from positive to negative. I've never heard of that happening. Once the result is given, especially a positive result, it doesn't usually change.

If you're having pain then I would definitely see a doctor. My first thought, because of the pain you describe, is an ectopic pregnancy. But that's only a guess, and I'm not a doctor, so it's not even an educated guess.

It's best to get a proper diagnosis from a doctor, and not online.

    Good luck.

Agree once it turns positive it is not normal to turn back. And the test does not case pain.
You most certainly need to have your doctor check you out.

When did you read the test results? Was the line a faint positive or a very obvious positive? Since the test appears to be inconclusive, it would be wise to take another one. Make sure that you follow the directions carefully... especially as to when to read the results. Reading results after the time specified on the test would not be considered accurate. So even the possible negative an hour later would not be considered accurate. It can happen that a faint line will fade with time, so if your result was fairly faint, that may be the case. See what another test shows for you.

A cyst would not effect test results. Your discomfort may be from the cysts.
