I have 2001 sable I bought from insurance auction car started right up drove it about 4 blocks shut it off now won't start no gas any ideas

. Remove and fully charge the battery, which most auto parts stores will do for free.

. Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter.

. Check for codes.

. Check for fuel. If you can hear the fuel pump run, when the ignition switch is turned to ON, the fuel system is likely okay. Check the fuel pump relay in the under hood fuse/relay box--remove and clean contacts, if necessary. Reset the inertia switch, which controls power to the fuel pump, in the trunk (right rear, behind liner), if you don't hear the fuel pump run.

. Check for spark.
