I have text message where my ex has said he sent the money but I never seen any of it. I text message stating I will pay you by Friday and I sent this amount of money , I will have it all paid off by march 2012. Do I have a chance to winn in court

If you have proof you gave him the money and proof that he promised to pay it back, then you can win. The question will still be whether you can collect. A court will award you the judgment, but it won't collect the money for you. However, winning a judgment gives you legal tools to collect.

So how do you go about collecting the money.. will my ex pay it bk by going this route...

Depends on location. You may be able to garnish salary, attach bank accounts, attach other assets, etc. But you will need to know where he works or the info on where he banks, etc.
