    1099 Non-resident
Hi, I've worked during 3 months in the states under a J1 visa in 2007. Since 2008 I've been working for an american company, online, from my country, and since 2009 they sent me a 1099 MISC (2009 until 2011) with the SSN I obtained during my period working there, but I never filed any taxes, my question is... Do I have to pay the taxes, even if I'm not a resident and I don't live in the States? Thank you very much!

No, you are NOT liable for U.S. incpme tax if you were NOT. Physically present in the U.S.

You may be asked to file by the IRS as long as you keep getting those Forms 1099-MISC, so submit Form W-8BEN
