Our problem is there's not much of any way we can help you without knowing what kind of system you have
    Is it a split system?
    With or without heat pump
    A package unit,
    A boiler
    Gas furnace
    Electric furnace
    Oil furnace
Sorry,, give us more info and we will try to help you

A wild guess without additional info is the Heating element may be shorted.
An amprobe and/or meter could make short work of this?

It may be a thermostat problem, a Tech would disconnect the wires at thermostat and determine if it is the thermostat, the control wiring, or a stuck relay/contactor.
