    Question about electrical water float?
Ihave a electrical float in a large tank of water. Rght now it comes on when the water gets down to a certain level. I want to "fool" the float to turn the well on and fill it up to add just a little water, as needed, to the tank instead of waiting for the water to get to the level. Can u put a single switch pole switch in between the float and the wiring box so I can flip the switch to bypass the float and the well will come on? Then flip the switch back to stop the well and put it back in to the "normal" float mode.If so would I put the 2 blacks together and put to one side of the switch and put the 2 whites to the other side of the switch?
    Thanks

Why not adjust the float to start filling earlier? If you really want to trick the float and make an automatic operation manual you can do it, however it does not have to be done on the wire you are talking about. How many wires travel to the switch and how many return?

There is 1 black wire and 1 white//110 volt so I am thinking by putting the wires together we can switch it 1 way to turn the well on right away, but must manually watch it and switch it back to its normal running. All we are doing is folling the well to thnik the circuit is open or closed. But you can wire it like a lght switch because the white must be tied into the switch somehow. We can't adjust the float otherwise I would have done it that way. We want to manually turn on our well and "top" off our tank when we want to.

If there are only two wires to/from the float you likely have a switch loop. Putting pigtails off the connection at the float and attaching a manual light switch to the pigs should do it. However, your tank will overflow if you are not watching the topping off.
