What type of urine testing do hospitals use
I was prescribed ambien for sleep. I drank about six beers before I went home the same day I was prescribed the drug. I don't remember anything over the next 24 hours. I was told that someone found me wondering around the next day around noon and called an ambulance. I was urine tested at the hospital. The college I go to doesn't allow drinking. I know I passed all the drug tests, they told my RD that, but what I don't know if or how they tested for alcohol. Do you know what tyep they probably used, and if I would have passed 12 hours after drinking 6 beers?

Usually the test would have been for ethanol only, check for intoxication. The results of the test should be available to you and should not be reported to the school.

There is no reason for the hospital to run an EtG test for alcohol.
