Will creatine, when used to supplement gym workouts, affect an etg/ets test?
ANYONE? Dr. Bill>>can you help me here?
Creatine would have no direct effect on EtG production or elimination. Indirectly, higher creatinine makes the urine more concentrate and thereby artificially raises any EtG present in proportion to volume of urine.
Sorry I missed this on the first post.
NOTICE: Any person or entity that is subjected to or relies on EtG testing should read this Advisory issued by US Department of Health and Human Services, September 2006 and in effect as of date of this posting.
Thanks.
My concern was tripping the test for etg/ets falsely. At work, we have people tested with a cutoff threshold of 25ng/ml, which I am told is absurdly low to be testing at unless ordered by the courts of law. This is an employer utilizing this absurdly low level, not a court. The environment is not a controlled work environment, these people are exposed to alcohol everyday in the emergency medical field. It's extremely ridiculous.
I don't understand the use of EtG in the workplace. It cannot be used for the purpose of determining impairment. At that cutoff there should be many positives due to environmental exposure.
In addition, each time an EtG/EtS test is run it is a medical examination, not a drug test, by federal statute and probably comes under EEOC/ADA rules and regulation. See Guidelines

Does anyone know if taking Full Blown Extreme or kre alkalyn, both supplements from Max Muscle make you fail a drug test or a ETG?
