I want to know if I can still be pregnant?
I had always have regular periods, 27-28 days cycles. But about 5-6 months ago they started getting messed up. I started being 1 week late, then 4 days, then 6 days, then 10 days, 2 weeks... I don't know when I ovulated this past month. I had my last period on January 3, 2012. I had unprotected sex with my husband on the 24, 25 and 29th on January. My period was supposed to start on the 30th/31st of January. But I missed it. I wasn't surprised since it has been happening for a while now, but on the 1st of February I started having sore breasts, then I started spotting on the 5th. No cramps. I tarted bleeding the next morning, but it has been a weird period. I bleed red, but mostly only when I go to the bathroom, pad is almost clean, I have a little bit of cramping. I started being nauseous on the 4th, and some weird cravings (I usually have chocolate cravings during my period, but this time I craved chicken in the middle of the night(I don't like chicken)). I still have tender breasts, a little sore too, nauseous, food aversion, tiredness. I have a weird feeling, and my periods usually last 7 days with the first 5 days heavy bleeding. This time it hasn't been heavy, and since the 4th day I have been having mostly spotting only. I just tested right now, 4:00pm, with a tiny amount of urine that I managed to pee. TMi, sorry. It was negative. I will test tomorrow morning just to make sure. Has it happened to anyone else? Were you pregnant?

It's not uncommon to have light bleeding st the beginning of pregnancy, but its also not uncommon to have irregular periods. Test using first morning urine exactly how the test instructs. If its still negative wait and see if you miss your next period and test again.

You may be of course, and women can get pregnant a few days before a period, a few days after, some even on their period. So there is no real safe time, just times where it is more likely.

So yes, first urine of the morning, a negative reading at 4 pm is to be expected
