Hampton Bay Light on a fan assembly
We have a Hampton Bay fan with a light. The fan works but the circular fluorescent light won't. We bought a new bulb: didn't fix it. We tried a new starter: didn't help. Anyone have any ideas?

There is also a ballast somewhere in the fixture that makes the lamp work,it may be defective. I believe that HB fans have a lifetime warranty, you should be able to return the entire fan instead of trying to find replacement parts.

I agree with TK, just take the whole thing back to Home Depot. I've heard of a lot of problems with those fluorescent fans. I am assuming you have the Winward (Windward?) model with the sculpted blades and thermostat remote?
