It doesn't have one. There's just a strainer attached to the fuel pump, located inside the gas tank.
If the platinum spark plugs have not been replaced in 50,000 miles, consider changing them (NGK only).
Thanks, I appreciate. I ll have them check it.
@ txgreasemonkey, My repair says spark plugs can't b responsible for low horsepower on hilly place. What's your opinion. Thanks for your support.
If the plugs have been in too long, they may be breaking down under the additional strain. Since I'm not there, it's hard to tell for sure. Plugs are crucial, especially on 4-cylinder engines. On 6-cylinder engines, people are loathe to replace plugs because of the difficulty of reaching the rear plugs. If you don't have many miles on the existing plugs, then I would move on. Have you checked for codes?
What model and engine do you have?
My brother, what I suffer is poor gas economy and sluggish movement on hill. What's code?? I had it looked up on d system and what dey saw was cylinder 3 misfire.
Old spark plugs are the leading cause of misfires and poor gas mileage. If you install a new set of NGK spark plugs, properly gapped, your problems will likely go away.
It sounds like, to me, you should get a new mechanic.
