I have swelling in my lower stomach and it is swelled up and causing severe pain and leaking fluids I went to the hospital and they said it was epidema what can I do to realeave pressure
The symptoms you describe sound like 'Ascites' which is extreme swelling of the abdominal cavity of accumulated fluids caused by liver disease
I don't recognize the terminology 'epidema' unless you are mispronouncing it and spelling it wrong.
I was thinking "edema." But, again, that's just what I was thinking.
Am I the only person amazed that Physicians/Hospitals discharge/end the visit without telling the patient what to do next?
OR do they explain and the patient doesn't understand?
Could be edema, but then the only reason for abdomen to swell is what I mentioned. Ascites
I don't think hospitals let people go without explaining. I think it is just a case of patient not understanding medical jargon and not having enough guts to ask questions.
