How to evict the previouse owner after buying a repossessed house?
As with many questions on this forum, it will depend on which state you are in. Generally, you will give the prior owner a 30-day notice to quit in writing. Then, if he or she has failed to leave, you file in court to evict.
Hello e:
You've got yourself in a pickle. You should NEVER have closed on the house with the previous owner still in residence.. But, you did. Depending on where you live, it could take MONTHS to get them out, and who knows if they won't destroy your home. You've got NO recourse against them if they do. Even if you did, they have no money... Which is your saving grace.. I'd offer them money to leave, but I wouldn't give it to them until they're GONE!

If the home was foreclosed, they have specific rights. When was the home foreclosed and where is this at.
But you will have to give them notice to move ( just like a renter) and if they won't move evict.
They may try to stall the eviction by trying to prove a illegal foreclosure and other methods.
I will agree, you never should have closed till they were out.
