    Wiring a gas fireplace
I don't know nothing about electricity to start I got my house with a gas fireplace but when I turn the switch so there was nothing so I took a panel off and I see the wires coming out of the wall not hooked up to the fireplace now there are 4 wires (red white black and copper) I don't know what there mean in the fireplace there is only 3 terminals 2 wires go to the thermopile and it say 2 need to go to thermostat or my switch in the wall I'm guessing but I got 4 of them what ones do I use or am I missing parts or something

    Slim,

Without knowing the gauge of the wires, it is impossible to know what they are for.

Can you take a picture and attach it to this thread?

Or contact the manufactuer of the fireplace to get more information on the fireplace.
