My cane corso dog (8-9 months old, 40 pounds---somewhere in that range) was hyper and she jumped on me and her paw landed in the middle of my chest. Straight in the middle. Every time I breath in and out it hurts, and when I press on it to see if it went away, it hurts even more. Why won't this go away? It happened on Saturday the 21st and it still hurts today. What can I do?

Go to a docter immediately if it hurts real bad.

Okay, please do see your doctor, but to put your mind at ease it may just be a muscle strain. I recently hurt myself in the shower and had this exact pain in my chest, which went away after 2 weeks of rest. (Bearing in mind I was doing naff all, which I'm sure isn't the case for you)

Yes, I cracked a rib two months ago and it just stopped hurting when I breath.

So go have it checked out.
