    Amount to feed lab puppy
I have a lab puppy who is 9 weeks old. I told the vet I was feeding her about 3/4 C of Solid Gold large dog puppy food 3 times a day, about what is recommended on the bag. He told me that the bag instructions always suggest more than the puppy may need. I can still feel her ribs so I know she isn't getting fat but I'm concerned about how much and how often to feed her. She is very active and we have her out running at least 3 times a day.

This is my first puppy in nearly 30 years and I want to do my best with her.

I agree with the vet, but the ultimate factor is her ribs. For a good guide, see http://www.puppychow.com/products/po...condition.aspx
As long as she is maintaning good body condition, continue the 3/4 cup.
Also see the sticky at the top of the dog forum for other things to help a new puppy owner.
