Hi, my husband and I are trying to conceive and his is our first month trying. My period was nearly a week late and now I have my period but it is very light compared to normal but I have cramping pains. I don't know if this is my period or what's going on. Its very confusing!

If it's a week late take a test using first morning urine. It's not uncommon for periods to be early or late. If you're not pregnant don't get discouraged. It can take a healthy couple up to a year to conceive.

Hi there, how are you today, it is best you rest as much as possible, if the cramping and bleeding stops, you can take a pregnancy test, as the results will show up by now. If the bleeding gets heavier and the pain worsens visit your GP for a check up. It is possible to have a light bleed and be pregnant as the egg then implants in the womb.
