I was on probation in 1998. Currently in 2012 I found myself to be in violation ; I was on probation for assault and was fined 1500$ I haven't been in any trouble I recently discovered this through a background check for a job .

If you did not violate probation, and it is just a error, you will need to hire an attorney to research this and file in court for corrections.
