The other day I turned my TV off and moments later tried to turn it back on with no luck. At the same time the two three way switchs in the living room will no longer turn the lamp off. They are all on the same breaker and my electritions out of town any suggestions on what might be the problem the house was built in 1977

Sounds like a short circuit causing the switches not to work and a loose open connection serving the TV. All of this can be happening in one junction box.

I don't think there is much you can do until you get an electrician to locate the problem and make necessary corrections.

Another possibility is that one of the switches was "Tri-stated" or only half way on and half way off. Normally this would not be a problem, but you never know.

Try setting the switches on and off a few time and then rese the breaker and see if that helps.
